The daughter of a former Queensland MP has moved to the Southern Highlands while on bail for allegedly breaking into her neighbour’s storage unit and stealing a pram and a Weber barbecue.

The daughter of a former Queensland MP has moved to Moss Vale while on bail for allegedly breaking and entering into her neighbour’s storage area and stealing expensive items.
Brianna Costigan, daughter of former Queensland MP Jason Costigan, appeared in Moss Vale Local Court on November 3 to ask the court to alter her bail conditions.
The Castle Hill resident represented herself in court in making an application to vary her bail conditions in order to move down to the Southern Highlands and reduce her reporting requirements.
Ms Costigan is on conditional liberty after she was arrested on January 6 this year for an alleged break in during which police claim she stole a number of expensive items.
Police allege the 21-year-old broke into her neighbour’s storage area in their shared building in December last year and stole items valued at less than $60,000.
Police claim Ms Costigan took a Yoyo pram and a Weber barbecue from her neighbour‘s storage area in the Zetland apartment complex where she was living at the time.
Ms Costigan has pleaded not guilty to the charge of break and enter. She is due to appear in Downing Centre Court in Sydney later this year for a hearing.
Magistrate Mark Douglass approved Ms Costigan’s bail variation after the court heard the prosecution did not oppose the changes. She will only be required to report to the Southern Highlands Police once a week on Mondays between 6am and 10pm.
