A hitman who murdered a teenager after swearing allegiance to a western Sydney crime gang, has been charged with assault inside Goulburn Supermax.
Conrad Craig, 31, did not appear at Goulburn Local Court on Wednesday for the charge of assaulting a law enforcement officer in execution of their duty and inflicting actual bodily harm.
According to the documents tendered to the court, on the morning of May 31 between 9.30am and 10.23am, the Parramatta local allegedly punched a first class correctional officer in the face with a closed fist.
The officer sustained a cut on his upper lip from the alleged attack and Craig was subsequently charged at Goulburn Police Station.
As previously reported by The Daily Telegraph, the high-security inmate is currently in jail for a lengthy 40 years for murdering 15-year-old Brayden Dillon.
The cold-blooded act was committed by Craig in 2017 on Good Friday by breaking into Dillon’s family home in Sydney and shooting him twice in the head while he slept.
It is accepted that the hitman was paid $20,000 to pull the trigger.
Craig will appear at Goulburn Local Court via audiovisual link on July 27 for his current matter.
