Westpoint Blacktown is pumping after its Covid hiatus. To welcome back our favourite shopping centre, we look at some of the best performances from the last 20 years.

With NSW opening up shoppers are flooding back to Westpoint Blacktown.
But it is so much more than a shopping centre, having hosted music stars from home and abroad over many years.
“Westpoint has been lucky enough to welcome a range of entertainers, including some big names over the years,” centre manager Agata Rynkiewicz, said.
“Over the years we’ve also played host to some great events, including Fashion Fest in 2014, which featured performances from Peking Duk, Thundamentals, Timomatic, Johnny Ruffo and Elen Levon.
“We were also thrilled to host Discover Talent Quest in 2020 and 2021, with guest performances by Darling Brando, Cod Conduct, Jai Waitford and Alphamama.”

Christine Anu
In 2014, the urban pop singer performed at Westpoint Blacktown to commemorate the release of her first Christmas album in her then 20-year career.
The performance was her first in Blacktown and one that she said she enjoyed due to its “unusual format”.
Jessica Mauboy
Jessica Mauboy performed at Westpoint Blacktown in 2017 to promote her new single Fallin. The centre also offered a special deal where any fan who purchased her new single from Sanity had the chance to meet the songstress.
Mauboy has had an illustrious career which has seen her rise to fame since finishing runner up in Australian Idol in 2006. She also recently represented Australia at the Eurovision song contest and currently is a judge on popular TV series The Voice.
Hi-5
Children’s favourites Hi-5 made an appearance at Westpoint Blacktown in 2014 where they unveiled their three newest additions.
The rooftop of the iconic shopping centre was packed with children and parents as new members Ainsley Melham, Mary Lascaris, Dayen Zheng were unveiled.
The group went through all their great hits and what still rates to this day as one of the biggest performances held at the shopping centre.
The Veronicas
One of Australia’s favourite pop duos performed at Westpoint Blacktown in 2014 ahead of their Australia tour.
They wowed the crowd performing their hit song You Ruin Me and If You Love Someone as crowds flocked to the rooftop to hear them sing.
Marcia Hines
Also in 2014, Australia’s Queen of Pop performed at Westpoint Blacktown to promote her new album Amazing.
The former Australian Idol judge has had a successful singing career which has seen her release 22 albums and has garnered countless chart-topping singles and multi-platinum records.
“My fans are my rock,” she said on appearing at Blacktown. “They are the people who allow me to live the life I live and I am excited to head out on the road to say hello to as many of them as possible.”
Jordin Sparks
In 2008, Jordan Sparks made her one and only appearance at Westpoint Blacktown fresh off her 2007 American Idol win where she became the youngest winner at just 17.
Sparks was joined on stage by Australian Idol finalists to perform.
Chris Brown
American R & B sensation performed at Westpoint Shopping Centre, Blacktown in 2006 and the crowd went a little too wild for the superstar singer.
Brown ended up having to stop his performance midway through as people were being crushed in the 2000 strong crowd.
Guy Sebastian
A baby faced Guy Sebastian appeared at Westpoint Blacktown to perform in 2004, a year after his iconic Australian Idol win.
Sebastian performed inside the shopping centre, with fans lining the floors, stairs and escalators to catch a glimpse of the superstar.
Hills Sports High Cheerleaders
And who can forget the performance of the Hill Sports High cheerleaders who performed on the roof of Westpoint Blacktown in 2009.
The girls were able to put on a show and are notably the only performers to make this list without singing.
