Police have charged a seventh man as part of an alleged crime ring involved in the theft and onselling of luxury cars across western Sydney.
Detectives arrested 22-year-old Jonovan Patterson in Hassall Grove last month at his home in Alroy Cres.
Police allege he was involved in breaking and entering at properties in West Hoxton and Picton between December and January, and allegedly stole several motorcycles and a European car.
A Yamaha, Honda, KMT and Volkswagen Golf were allegedly stolen during the crime spree.
He was taken to Mt Druitt Police Station and hit with a string of charges, including aggravated breaking and entering, receiving/disposing of stolen property and soliciting a benefit by concealing an indictable offence.
He is the seventh man to be charged as part of a police investigation into the alleged thefts of luxury and high-performance vehicles across Sydney since November 2020.
During a brief mention of his matter in Mt Druitt court on Wednesday, Mr Patterson successfully varied his bail to report to police three times a week due to work commitments.
He was previously required to report seven days a week.
He will next appear in Mt Druitt Local Court on June 9.
So far six men, aged 52, 29, 35, 30, 19 and 21 have been charged over their alleged role in the syndicate and remain before the courts.
Last month, police arrested 21-year-old Zachary Locke at a home in Blacktown and allegedly seized Holden and Audi car keys and a Suzuki motorcycle in a raid on the property.
Police allege he was involved in break and enters in Fairfield West, West Hoxton and Sans Souci in November and December last year, where personal property and motor vehicles were stolen, including a Holden Maloo, BMW M2, Mercedes CLA45 and two trail bikes.
Locke was hit with 18 charges including seven counts of aggravated breaking and entering and five counts of stealing a motor vehicle.
He was refused bail and will face Blacktown Local Court later this month.
Police expect further arrests and their investigation is ongoing.
