Trench Tuifua: OneFour gang member jailed for eight months

Members of OneFour and 67 meet in a Maccas car park. Knives are grabbed and punches are thrown, but one member who copped a bashing said the group betrayed him as he was jailed for eight months.

A western Sydney street gangster has been jailed after a wild Maccas brawl erupted between members of OneFour and 67 where knives were brandished and staff cowered in fear.

Trench Tuifua, 22, said he is now turning his back on his mates at OneFour after they didn’t check in on his mother while he was behind bars for the affray.

Mount Druitt Local Court was told Tuifua essentially copped a bashing for his OneFour affiliation after apparently starting the altercation in the car park.

The two gangs had by chance both pulled up in cars at the Plumpton Maccas last December before yelling out their gang affiliations to each other and brawling.

Court documents state Tuifua is a confirmed OneFour gang member and after the chance meeting between his mates and rival members of 67 he was subjected to “a barrage of blows” by Trauvaugha Leota.

According to the facts, Tuifua tried to pull Leota out of the car while the 67 members in the vehicle went for their knives in Plumpton last December.

Tuifua then walked into the McDonalds store, holding the door shut while the opposing groups yelled at each other.

Vision of the wild brawl was also reportedly uploaded to TikTok.

Tuifua and the other man then proceeded to fight in the car park before another man ran into the fray brandishing a knife.

He pleaded guilty to affray through his lawyer Mohommed Bazzi as relatives sobbed in the back of the court on Wednesday.

Mr Bazzi told the court Tuifua does not want anything to do with OneFour when he gets out of jail after they “betrayed” him by not checking in on him or his mother while he sat in a cell at the Mid-North Coast Correctional Centre.

“He’s somewhat trying to be macho surrounding himself with these individuals,” Mr Bazzi said.

His lawyer Mohommed Bazzi told the court after instigating the incident Tuifua then became the victim of the attack.

“There’s a common trend with a lot of young men … set up to be in these western Sydney groups who have a chip on their shoulders and egos.

“Prison is a blessing in disguise, he has reflected on his actions.”

The court was told Tuifua was currently serving two community corrections orders and was only three months into one of them at the time of the brawl.

One of those orders relates to Tuifua brandishing a knife at junior rugby league game brawl in 2019.

In documents tendered to the court police reveal the growing tensions between OneFour, 67, and the Inner West Brotherhood have led to a number of fatalities and serious assaults all in full view of the public.

Tuifua was sentenced to a non-parole period of eight months in jail.
