It was one of the biggest event in NSW sport showcasing the very best of grassroots football and it didn’t disappoint
From close encounters to upsets, there was plenty to cheer about as games were played across 19 different age groups in the NSW Football Champion of Champions finals returning after a two year Covid absence.
Northern Suburbs FA - which had 11 teams make it to the semi-finals - and Sutherland Shire FA ended the event as the top associations after a stellar day.
Both claimed four grands final wins while Football south coast, thanks to Shellharbour JFC’s clean sweep, took home an impressive three crows.
Other multiple winners were St George FA (2), Manly FA (2), Canterbury District SFA (1) Hills FA (1), Macarthur FA (1) and Eastern Suburbs FA (1).
Another standout was the over 45’s Men’s Hurstville City Minotaurs who secured their fourth Champion of Champions title with a 2-1 win over the Dunbar Rovers
The Cronulla Seagulls Football Club produced the biggest win of the event with their 6-0 (21 Men) victory
Harrington United Football Club also produced an emphatic victory with the 5-0 victory over Engadine Eagles FC (18 Women) while Shellharbour JFC beat Terrigal United FC convincingly, 4-1 (16 Girls)
The massive day of football action was the culmination of an extraordinary season which saw more than 300 teams and in excess of 5000 players compete in the knockout tournament.
