A man has been seriously injured after he was allegedly bashed by a group of teenagers in a quiet Doonside street last night.
Police say the 41-year-old suffered a serious head injury after he was allegedly assaulted by three teens armed with a bat or pole on Hammon Ave at about 7pm on August 11.
It’s alleged the boys, aged 13, 14 and 16, hit the man in the head during a fight.
The man was treated at the scene and taken to Blacktown Hospital, where he remains in intensive care.
Blacktown police arrested the three boys at a nearby home last night.
The older boys face charges of recklessly causing grievous bodily harm, affray and being armed with intent. The youngest boy has been charged with affray and being armed with intent.
The trio has been refused bail to face a children’s court today.
Police believe the teens and the man are known to each other.
