TWO Blacktown boys are making it into the big league and have been selected in Western Sydney Wanderers’ National Youth League squad.

Abraham Majok, of Blacktown, is a new signing and Keanu Baccus, of Kings Park, has been re-signed from last season’s squad.

Majok, 18, drew interest from the Wanderers this year when he played against them with Mt Druitt Rangers.

“I played a game against the Wanderers and managed to get a couple of goals, so they invited me to start training with them,” the striker said.

“I was training with them every morning while playing for the Rangers through the season. After that, they told me they were interested and wanted me to join the Youth League.”

The Sudanese athlete attended The Hills Sports High School at Seven Hills.

Baccus was one of six Wanderers selected to play for the Young Socceroos in the Asean Football Federation Championships in September.

Brother of fellow Wanderer and first-team squad member Kearyn, the midfielder played a brief spell for Blacktown Spartans before a move to Blacktown City in the NSW NPL where he stayed for five years before joining the Wanderers in 2014.

The Youth League side plays its first game on Sunday at 4pm against the Newcastle Jets.
