Netballer Maddison Diener nominated as Junior Sports Star

MADDISON Diener does not just love netball, she “lives, sleeps and breathes endless ways to improve her netball skills”.

The 13-year-old Quakers Hill goal attacker was a dancer before she wanted to try netball for a change when she was eight and fell in love with the sport.

“I made friends and then I started to love it,” Maddison said.

Maddison was selected into the 12-years Australian Indoor Netball Federation team last year.

“After making the 12-years Australian team she sourced every avenue to still learn more,” mum Debbie Diener said. Maddison was selected into the 13-years Blacktown City Netball Association representative team, the NSW indoor netball team, the 13-year Waratahs and Baulkham Hills 14-years representative squad for 2017.

Maddison aspires to represent Australia and play professional netball.

She looks up to New Zealand international netball player Maria Tutaia.
