Service support worker in court for alleged client theft of $40k
Police have arrested a woman over the alleged theft of more than $40,000 worth of jewellery and cash from clients of the support service industry.

A woman who allegedly stole more than $40,000 worth of jewellery and cash from terminally ill and disabled people in the support service industry has been arrested by police.
The alleged stealing-spree occurred between December 2018 and October 2019 across suburbs Wiley Park, Bexley, Drummoyne and Doonside.
Following an investigation by Campsie, Burwood and Blacktown Police Area Command officers into the incidents, the woman, 46, was arrested at a Blacktown shopping centre about 2.20pm yesterday.
It is alleged the woman was attempting to sell stolen jewellery at the time of her arrest.
Police also allege the woman has stolen items in five known pawn stores in Blacktown, where she provided false information on each occasion.
The woman, of Blacktown, is employed by numerous support agencies within the disability sector, where she attends homes of the terminally ill and disabled for domestic and hygiene assistance.
She has been charged with six counts of steal property in dwelling-house and four counts of make/furnish a statement which is false/misleading, and was refused to appear at Blacktown Local Court today.
