Police are searching for a convicted child rapist who allegedly committed sex acts on a Sydney train last week.
NSW Police have today released new images in their hunt for Raymond Barry Cornwall, 64, who is wanted on an outstanding warrant for sexual offences which allegedly took place on public transport last Wednesday morning.
Mr Cornwall was captured on CCTV cameras travelling to Lalor Park at 7am on Saturday, October 5, and was later seen leaving Central Station on Eddy Ave at 9.30am the same day.
These confirmed sightings come one day after police issued an appeal to the public to help locate him.
Mr Cornwall, whose sexual offending dates back 40 years, served 14 years in jail over sex attacks on four girls, one as young as 13, at knifepoint.
Only hours after his release in 2007, he was back behind bars after he breached his parole conditions and was spotted within metres of children at a Wollongong beach.
The new images show Mr Cornwall wearing a black Everlast hooded jumper, dark long pants and white running shoes while carrying a dark backpack and sleeping bag.
He is described as being of caucasian appearance, with a fair complexion and grey hair.
He is known to frequent Campbelltown and Eagle Vale.
Police are appealing to anyone who may have seen Mr Cornwall to come forward by contacting Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
Anyone who sights Mr Cornwall is urged not to approach him and contact triple-0 (000) immediately.
