NAME: Mark Taylor
PARTY: Liberal Party (Incumbent)
A BIT ABOUT YOU:
“I was born and raised in Old Toongabbie.
“Before my election to parliament in 2015, I completed near 25 years of policing service and was a senior officer in the Police Prosecutions Branch.
“I was awarded the Centenary Medal, the National Medal and a Commissioner’s Commendation.
“I was the Parliamentary Secretary for the Centenary of ANZAC, Counter Terrorism, Corrections and Veterans.”

1. Duplication of Prospect Highway at Blacktown and Seven Hills;
2. The continuation of the $700 million Blacktown Hospital redevelopment; and
3. $2 million for Toongabbie Railway Bridge planning solutions.

“I am a qualified chef who made Seven Hills my home three years ago.
“I am currently working as a salesperson while I help raise a young family with my wife, Stacey.
“Since my daughter was born, my motivation to tackle the climate disaster has only grown stronger. Our children will inherit the earth, so let’s leave it better than when we inherited it.
“I have been involved within The Greens for a couple of years but this is my first foray into politics.”

“I first stood as a candidate for Parramatta Council in the 2017 elections, narrowly missing election for the Parramatta Ward, which significantly overlaps this electorate.”

“I was Parramatta Young Citizen of the Year in 2002 and received the Australian Centenary medal for Services to the Parramatta community.”

“Born in the US, I came to Australia in 1983 to play basketball in the National Basketball League with the Bankstown Bruins. I am now an Australian citizen.”
