A man has been stabbed and two more are injured following a brawl outside Mt Druitt train station in Sydney’s west.

Emergency services were called to Beames Ave shortly after 3pm following reports a group of men were seen fighting outside the railway station.

A 20-year-old man suffering a stab wound was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to Westmead Hospital via ambulance, with non-life threatening injuries.

A NSW Ambulance spokesman said paramedics initially treated three patients at the scene, two of which did not require hospitalisation. They were treated for an ear and lip injury.

A 17-year-old youth also suffered a cut to the head.

NSW Ambulance inspector William Edwards said one of the men suffered a 3cm cut to the back.

“We were concerned about some possible internal injuries as we didn’t know how deep the knife went,” he said.

“Paramedics and the aeromedical team from CareFlight controlled the bleeding before taking that man to hospital.

“The other two patients had fairly minor injuries which paramedics treated at the scene but they didn’t need to be taken to hospital.”
