Men charged after meat cleaver, gun and counterfeit money seized in Rooty Hill
Two men will face court after police allegedly found a stash of weapons, counterfeit money and drugs in a stolen car and house in Rooty Hill.

Two men have been charged after police seized a stash of weapons, counterfeit cash and drugs in Rooty Hill yesterday.
Police say a sawn-off shotgun, meat cleaver and ammunition were among the seized items, allegedly located in a stolen car outside a Rooty Hill townhouse just before 9am on July 16.
A search of the driver and passenger of the stolen car allegedly uncovered prohibited drugs and further shotgun cartridges.
A short time later, police searched a Rooty Hill home and seized prohibited drugs, an electronic sun tanning machine, counterfeit money, knives and swords.
A 37-year-old man from Rooty Hill was charged with three counts of possessing a prohibited drugs, dealing with the proceeds of crime, possessing counterfeit money, using a prohibited weapon and having goods in custody suspected of being stolen.
Police also charged a 27-year-old Sutherland man with a string of alleged offences, including: larceny, carrying a cutting weapon, possessing a shortened firearm and ammunition, participating in a criminal group, demanding property in company with menaces, taking and driving a conveyance, entering enclosed lands, possessing prohibited drugs, possessing stolen good and entering enclosed lands.
Both men are expected to face Mt Druitt Local Court today.
