Police have launched a critical incident investigation and are looking for witnesses after a man sustained serious injuries during a chase in Blacktown.

Police have launched a critical incident investigation after a man was seriously injured during a chase in Blacktown last month.
The man, 25, sustained serious spinal injuries after falling over a gate while he allegedly attempted to run from police after a pursuit on June 27.
He was taken to Westmead Hospital where medical tests revealed the extent of his injuries.
A critical incident investigation team will look into the incident, which will be subject to an independent review.
Police allege the man was driving a Ford ute on Lock St at about 9.30am when he failed to stop for a random breath test.
Police said the man allegedly led police on a pursuit to Newhaven St, where he crashed into a parked car and tried to flee.
Two passengers, a 16-year-old boy and 56-year-old man, were arrested and remain before the courts on several charges.
The 25-year-old was charged with leading police on a pursuit and driving recklessly and driving while disqualified. He will face Blacktown Local Court on September 17.
He is due to appear at Blacktown Local Court on September 17.
Police have appealed for any witnessed to come forward.
