A glamorous young woman who allegedly supplied cocaine to some of Sydney’s wealthiest suburbs is the sixth person to be charged as part of a police bust on a dial-a-dealer syndicate.

Marram Mekhael, 21, spent her first night behind bars after she was arrested at a home in Mt Druitt at about 10am on Monday.

She faced Mt Druitt Local Court on Tuesday on 10 charges, including, six counts of supplying a prohibited drug, dealing with property proceeds of crime and participating in a criminal group.

Mekhael wore a black and white Balenciaga designer jumper when she appeared in court via audiovisual link this afternoon.

Police allege she was involved in the ongoing supply of cocaine across Sydney through a ‘dial-a-dealer’ criminal syndicate.

The court heard Mekhael was a ‘runner’ who allegedly picked up drugs and dropped them off to customers after receiving addresses from another alleged member of the syndicate via mobile phone.

Court documents allege Mekhael and a female co-accused drove to a string of Sydney suburbs, including Bondi, Coogee, Manly Vale and Elizabeth Bay on the evening of February 27 and supplied cocaine to buyers.

Magistrate James Gibson told the court the pair was allegedly carrying out a drug run and was under police surveillance when officers stopped the women at Elizabeth Bay at about 9.30pm.

The female co-accused was allegedly found with 40 bags of cocaine in her bra while Mekhael was allegedly found with almost $3000 cash in her purse.

The court heard Ms Mekhael had a prior drug supply conviction, which she was on parole for, and was also on bail for charges relating to the alleged possession of 14 MDMA pills.

In applying for bail, her defence solicitor said the prosecution case was “weak”.

“What police facts allege she is the driver who picks up the drugs and drops off the drugs,” he said.

“What (police) allege in the facts is quite ambiguous – the text messages, what actually was supplied on each of those occasions.”

Magistrate James Gibson refused bail and said it was likely she would serve a jail sentence if found guilty.

“She must’ve known exactly what was going on on the basis of those facts in my view,” Mr Gibson said.

“She is likely to receive a very lengthy custodial sentence if she is convicted in relation to these offences.”

Ms Mekhael is the sixth person to be arrested in the past week as part of a Strike Force Gundain investigation into the alleged ‘dial-a-dealer’ syndicate.

More than $115,000 in cash, 1kg of cocaine, 2kg of the drug ‘ice’, steroids, a ballistics vest and drug equipment were allegedly seized in the operation.

Mekhael did not enter pleas to the charges and will face Central Local Court on May 12.
