Brothers face court as fifth man arrested in Kellyville Ridge over alleged drug syndicate
Police have made a fresh arrest in north-west Sydney as part of a major drug supply bust as two men faced court over the same matter.

Two brothers and three other men have been charged with drug offences after their alleged involvement in a ‘dial-a-dealer’ syndicate across Sydney’s northwest.
Joshua Anthony Pereira, 27, from Ryde, and his brother Sean Pereira, 32, from Kingscliff, were arrested along with two other men, aged 26 and 28, during raids in Granville, Carlingford and Ryde yesterday.
At 6am today, police arrested a 23-year-old man at a home on Dundrum Gr, Kellyville Ridge.
During yesterday’s searches, officers allegedly seized a total of 1kg of cocaine, more than 2kg of what is believed to be methylamphetamine and 117g of heroin.
They allegedly also found more than $75,000 cash as well as mobile phones, laptops, a ballistics vest, steroids and equipment consistent with the supply of prohibited drugs.
Police will allege the man were involved in the supply of cocaine through the ‘Dial-a-Dealer’ criminal syndicate.
The younger Pereira brother Joshua fronted Burwood Local Court on Friday charged with 12 drug offences including supplying and possessing a prohibited drug, participating in a criminal group contributing to criminal activity, dealing with the proceeds of crime.
Court documents allege Joshua had supplied cocaine on two occasions in Ryde yesterday morning before his home was searched by police.
Investigators allegedly found $49,695 during the search which police suspect were the proceeds of crime as well as prohibited drugs testosterone among other substances (oxandrolone and methyltrienolone).
Police will also allege he supplied cocaine on three or more occasions between January 17 and 28 in Parramatta.
In court, Joshua wore a white T-shirt and sat quietly in the defendant dock while exchanging glances with a young woman, believed to be a family member.
Bail was not applied for and formally refused.
The matter has been adjourned to May 6 for a brief of evidence to be served.
His brother Sean Pereira who was charged with one count of supplying a prohibited drug who is on bail and will face court for the first time on April 20.
Kellyville Ridge man Joshua Padiernos, 23, faces a string of charges, including six counts of supplying a prohibited drug, supplying prohibited drugs on an ongoing basis and participating in a criminal group.
He was refused bail to face Parramatta Local Court today.
