Lethbridge Park robbery: Woman stabbed on Bougainville Rd
Police are hunting for a man who stabbed a woman during a terrifying attack in Sydney’s west.

Police are searching for a man after a woman was stabbed while walking along a western Sydney street overnight.
About 9pm on Sunday, a woman was walking along Bougainville Rd near Copeland Rd at Blackett towards Lethbridge Park, when she was approached by an unknown man.
Police were told the man demanded the woman’s bag, before stabbing her in the abdomen during a brief physical altercation and fleeing the scene.
The 48-year-old woman sought assistance nearby from someone known to her and was driven to Westmead Hospital.
She was then transferred to Westmead Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Addressing the media on Monday, Mt Druitt Police Detective Inspector Wayne Kelly said the attack was not believed to be random.
“The woman is known to police and police do not believe it was a random attack,” Detective Inspector Kelly said.
Officers from Mt Druitt Police were notified and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
As inquiries continue, police are appealing for anyone with information about the incident, or identity of the man, to come forward.
He is described as being of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance with a thin build.
