Justin Taylor: Moree man charged with sexually assaulting teenage girl at Ropes Crossing

A man charged with raping a teenage girl in western Sydney in 2015 has appeared in court.

A man accused of allegedly raping a 16-year-old girl in western Sydney has appeared in court.

Justin Taylor, 45, appeared before Mt Druitt Local Court on Wednesday on four charges of aggravated sexual assault and one charge each of indecent assault and aggravated act of indecency.

Taylor, who is listed of residing at Kingaroy, Queensland, is accused of having sexual intercourse with a 16-year-old girl without her consent while in Ropes Crossing, near St Mary’s.

All charges are alleged to have taken place in 2015.

Appearing at Mt Druitt Local Court, a police prosecutor asked for a four-week adjournment from Magistrate Bree Chisholm to allow officers to retrieve a number of outstanding statements, including following up a possible witness.

Taylor, who the court heard resides in Moree, was told he was excused from attending court on the next occasion.

The matter will return to court on March 15.
