Jay Lupton: Quakers Hill man fights knife charge

Police stopped the 28-year-old just before midnight on February 22 this year and allegedly found he was carrying a knife.

A man who was allegedly found in possession of a knife on a Quakers Hill street earlier this year will fight the charges in court.

Jay Lupton, 28, of Quakers Hill, faced Blacktown Local Court on Monday, charged with one count of possessing a knife in a public place.

Police allege Mr Lupton was on Richmond Rd, Quakers Hill, just before midnight on February 22 when he was allegedly found with the knife.

During a brief appearance at court today, Mr Lupton pleaded not guilty to the charge.

The case will return to court on July 13.
