A high-ranking Bandido at Glendenning has been hit with several charges relating to firearm supply, commercial drugs and illegal hunting.
Officers from the State Crime Command’s Raptor North began an investigation with the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development into alleged illegal hunting activities last month.
In particular, police were looking at the alleged illegal hunting conducted by a 34-year-old man, with officers searching a home in Agnes Banks in northwest Sydney on January 30.
During the search, police uncovered a large number of pig dog hunting equipment which included four collars with electronic shock probes, two GPS receivers, fireworks, sling shots, testosterone and a mobile phone.
Police will alleged they found evidence of cannabis and firearm supply.
The GPS receivers and the mobile phone were forensically examined, with police allegedly finding evidence of 18 illegal hunting incidents between May 2023 and December 2024.
About 12.15pm on Thursday February 6, police arrested the 34-year-old man at Glendenning.
He was taken to the Mt Druitt Police Station and charged with supplying prohibited firearm, supplying ammunition, supplying prohibited drug (less than commercial quantity), possessing prohibited weapon, handle explosive/precursor without authorising licence and supplying prohibited drug.
He was also slapped with 46 other charges related to illegal hunting.
The man was refused bail and is due to face Mt Druitt Local Court on Friday.
