Police say Erol Tokcan, 38, was allegedly stabbed to death during a violent home invasion at a property on Livingston Ave, Dharruk, at 9.45pm on March 9, 2018.
It’s alleged a group of men entered the home and threatened Mr Tokcan before stabbing him in front of his girlfriend and fleeing the scene.
He was treated by paramedics before being taken to Westmead Hospital, where he later died.
More than two years after Mr Tokcan’s death, detectives have charged four men.

At a press conference this morning, Det Inspector Paul Tickner of Mt Druitt Police said Mr Tokan’s family was relived arrests had been made in relation to his death.
Mr Tokan was allegedly killed by a single stab wound to his chest inflicted by a knife and died at Westmead Hospital, after being treated by paramedics at the scene.
Mr Tokan was living with his partner when he was killed.
“It is unfortunately taken two years and the investigators are relieved it is now finished,” Det Insp Tickner said.
“It has been a very daunting time for the family of the victim and they are incredibly relieved when the arrests were made.
“The investigators (from Strike Force McGuine) had maintained close contact with the family and have a close bond with them.
“We believe that all the (allegedly) people involved have been arrested and charged.”
Det Insp Tickner said they don’t believe that Mr Tokan and the men charged over his death were personally known to him, but they could have known each other socially.
He said that the men had made two attempts with 15 minutes to enter the home of Mr Tokan on March 9, 2018, and there was a scuffle the second time. That was when he was stabbed in the chest, according to police.
Police said nothing was stolen from the property.
In November 2018, police arrested a 23-year-old man at a home on Neriba Cres, Whalan. He was charged with murder and remains before the courts.
