Ergun Semerci: Seven Hills man charged over alleged illegal drug, tobacco supply

A police raid on a Seven Hills home and a business in Blacktown has allegedly uncovered $80,000 in cash and hundreds of boxes of illegally imported tobacco.

A Seven Hills man has been charged after police raids allegedly uncovered $80,000 in cash, illicit drugs and illegally imported tobacco in western Sydney.

Ergun Semerci, 44, was arrested at a business in Main St, Blacktown, on Thursday, June 18, during a police investigation into the illicit drug supply in the region.

Strike Force Leedham officers searched the Blacktown business at 9am on Thursday and allegedly uncovered tobacco and cigarettes, believed to have been illegally imported, cannabis, synthetic cannabis and drug paraphernalia.

Shortly after, police raided a home on Ellam Dr, Seven Hills, and allegedly found $80,000 in cash, 325 cartons of illegally imported cigarettes, cannabis, ammunition and more drug paraphernalia.

Police allege Semerci was found with $1900 in cash at the time of his arrest.

He faces a string of charges, including seven counts of drug supply, supplying a prohibited drug on an ongoing basis, dealing with the proceeds of crime and allowing the use of a drug premises.

He was refused bail at Parramatta Local Court on Friday.

The matter will return to Blacktown Local Court on August 13.
