Work on Eastern Creek’s new shopping centre is moving full steam ahead with the launch of stage two of Eastern Creek Quarter.

The $95 million development on the corner of the Great Western Highway and Rooty Hill Rd South will be home to big box retailers after developer Frasers Property announced leasing opportunities for homeware retailers and indoor recreation centres, including play centres and swim schools.

Frasers Property is also looking to attract adventure goods stores, automotive specialists, whitegoods brands and pet supply stores.

The second stage of the development, expected to open late next year, will have room for 20 to 25 outlets over close to 12,000 square metres.

Stage one is expected to open by the end of the year, with Woolworths announced as an anchor store, along with BWS liquor, a medical centre, pharmacy, childcare centre and gym.

Also set to open by the end of the year is the highly-anticipated dining precinct, featuring street food operators such as Pho Ever, Marijan’s Grill, Thai Master, Middle East Feast, Burrito Bar, Health Bar & Co and bubble tea outlet Chatime.

Tim Moore of Frasers Property said the development offered “unparalleled opportunity” for big retail brands.

“Stage two of (Eastern Creek Quarter) is a prime opportunity for progressive, premium quality large format retailers to establish a high-profile presence in a connected location in western Sydney’s new retail heartland,” Mr Moore said.

“The new large format retail and showroom offer is an ideal complement to Stage one, which will be launched soon, offering the local community and broader western Sydney new levels of convenience and choice in a comfortable, sustainable and exciting atmosphere.

“We anticipate the leasing campaign will attract a mix of large format retailers and showrooms who want to be part of a centre which will set a new benchmark for the region.”

Retail Projex will coordinate the leasing campaign.

“(Eastern Creek Quarter) is a landmark project for western Sydney and we’re pleased to assist Frasers Property in the leasing of stage two, bringing to market 11,600 square metres of large-format showroom space, where we are seeking interest from a range of quality retailers eager to make their mark in this high-profile location,” managing director Cameron Henshaw said.
