A man allegedly involved in the shooting murder of a drug dealer outside his western Sydney home last year is set to stand trial.
Sean Fairweather, 30, of Box Hill, will fight the murder charge after he pleaded not guilty at Penrith Local Court last Friday.
Fairweather is one of four men charged over the alleged murder of Craig Anderson, 51, in Doonside in May 2019.
Police allege the accused drug dealer was shot four times by an alleged Comanchero bikie, aged 27, outside his home in Meridian Pl on May 27.
Mr Anderson died at the scene, with Fairweather, the 27-year-old man, and the man’s 22-year-old brother, along with two other men, arrested in four separate cars later that evening.
Police allege Fairweather was found with a semi-automatic Glock pistol during a search of a Toyota Hilux ute at Kemps Creek.
He has pleaded not guilty to a string of charges, including murder, possessing an unauthorised pistol, possessing a defaced firearm and not keeping a firearm safely.
He will also fight an additional charge of participating in a criminal group with three other men.
Fairweather will face the Supreme Court on Friday where he is expected to be formally arraigned on the charges prior to standing trial.
The 27-year-old man faces one count of murder and participating in a criminal group. His brother also remains before the courts on one count of participating in a criminal group.
A 28-year-old woman, who is married to one of the men charged over the alleged murder, faces charges of being an accessory after the fact to murder and tampering with evidence with intent to mislead a judicial tribunal.
A 44-year-old man is also before the courts, charged with murder and participating in a criminal group.
