A bus driver has been granted bail over allegations he preyed upon and sexually touched multiple children with disabilities while driving them to school in Sydney’s west.
Greystanes man Joseph Raymond Saba, 51, was charged with six counts of intentionally sexually touching a child between 10 and 16 after police received a report of the allegations in August.
He was arrested and charged at Blacktown Police Station on Monday, when he was denied police bail.
He later faced Blacktown Local Court, where magistrate Deb Maher granted bail.
Saba’s bail conditions include reporting to police twice a week and not entering or going within 100m of a particular high school, which has not been identified for legal reasons.
He will next face Blacktown Local Court on September 19.
A NSW Department of Education spokeswoman declined to comment as the matter is before the courts.
