The fourth and final instalment of Basketball Victoria’s Junior Country Championships will be played this weekend in Ballarat with the under 12s competition.
Thanks to a partnership between the state’s governing body and the Herald Sun you’ll be able to watch games from across two different courts over three days of exciting action.
Play will start early on Friday morning before concluding with the boys and girls Division 1 and 2 grand finals on Sunday, April 24.
A Basketball Victoria spokesman said the organisation was looking forward to another exciting event.
“It‘s brilliant to see our Under-12 Junior Country Championships roll around and send off our country tournament schedule with a bang,” he said.
“We’ve seen some amazing basketball this year at our Junior Country Championships and we’re excited to showcase Victoria’s junior-most talent both at Ballarat’s Selkirk Stadium and via the Herald Sun live stream.
“If you can‘t make it to Ballarat this weekend, make sure to tune in to the Herald Sun live streams to see the future of Victorian basketball start their junior journeys on the big stage.”
Ballarat will be hoping its teams can build on the success of previous events after the under 14 Miners boys and girls sides finished as runners-up at the event held earlier this month.
