Kelsey Mae Hair is an established boutique salon located in North Albury.
Owner of Kelsey Mar Hair, Kelsey Lewington, said she was blown away by the results.
“It feels awesome to win, I don’t feel like I ever win anything and it’s just nice as it is like rewarding as it makes all your hard work and tough days as a hairdresser worthwhile,” she said.
Ms Lewington told The Albury Wodonga News she was just excited to have been nominated.
The salon specialises in hair extensions, hair colour and cutting and they have a famous reputation for achieving fantastic results for people with blonde hair.
“We do lots of hair extensions, we use the tape in hair extensions, we are very busy with those and we do lots of blonde and colour transformations,” Ms Lewington said.
The team also specialise in hair styling and offer beauty services including make up applications, full body spray tanning, facial waxing and tinting.
Ms Lewington has been working as a hairdresser for over 10 years.
The mum-of-two first started the business at her home and within seven months she had opened the salon on Mate St, North Albury.
“I‘ve had the salon here for about 4.5 years, we have grown over that time and now have five of us hairdressers here,” said Ms Lewington.
Ms Lewington said she felt so honoured to have such an incredible client base and support from her family and friends, including her husband.
“The biggest challenge I faced, was having two little ones while still running a business, and then going back to work after a couple weeks of having my second child,” she said.
“I just don’t stop, which is what everyone knows about me.”
