Paris Hilton releases shocking video of the moment she returns to fire-ravaged Malibu home

Paris Hilton was already in shock at the news of her home burning down, but the moment she saw it in real life “shattered her heart into a million pieces”. See the video.

Shocking footage of Pairs Hilton's Family Home

Paris Hilton has released gut-wrenching footage of the moment she returned to all that is left of her beachfront home in Malibu after it burned to the ground in the devastating California fires.

She described the moment was like her “heart shattered into a million pieces” as she walked through the charred rubble of her dream house.

In the footage uploaded to her instagram page, the 43-year-old enters through the front door, still left standing, but the rest has been reduced to ashes.

“I’m standing here in what used to be our home, and the heartbreak is truly indescribable,” she said.

“This house wasn’t just a place to live— It was where we dreamed, laughed, and created the most beautiful memories as a family.

“It was where Phoenix’s little hands made art that I’ll cherish forever, where love and life filled every corner.

“To see it reduced to ashes… it’s devastating beyond words.”

Despite the tragic outcome of her treasured home, Hilton remained upbeat in the emotional caption which accompanied the video that has been viewed nearly four million times.

“What breaks my heart even more is knowing that this isn’t just my story. So many people have lost everything. It’s not just walls and roofs—it’s the memories that made those houses homes. It’s the photos, the keepsakes, the irreplaceable pieces of our lives,” she wrote.

“And yet, in this pain, I know I’m incredibly lucky. My loved ones, my babies, and my pets are safe.

“That’s the most important thing, and I’m holding onto that gratitude with everything I have. And beyond grateful to all the the fire fighters, first responders and volunteers risking their lives to fight these fires.”

It comes as celebrities were criticised for suggesting arson played a role in the Los Angeles fires.

Happy Days star Henry Winkler posted on X: “THERE IS an ARSONIST here in LA . May you be beaten you unrecognizable !!! The pain you have caused !!!”

While the post received more than 44,000 likes, many users were quick to slam Winkler’s words as “unhelpful” or mere speculation.

Comedian Josh Gad got a more mixed response when he posted on Threads that the Hollywood Hills fire - also known as the Sunset fire - had been deliberately lit.

That blaze has now been contained, but its timing and relative proximity to Hollywood landmarks had other social media users believing it could have been the work of an arsonist.

The move comes after Jamie Lee Curtis spoke about the “catastrophe” of the Palisades Fire near her California home when she appeared on the Tonight Show on Thursday.

“As you know, where I live is on fire right now. Literally, the entire city of the Pacific Palisades is burning. I flew here last night. I was on the plane and started getting texts. It’s f--king gnarly, you guys,” Curtis told the US talk show.

“It’s a catastrophe in Southern California. Obviously there has been horrific fires in many places. This is literally where I live. Everything.”

Earlier, Curtis posted a disturbing photo on social media showing the church that helped her overcome her opioid addiction burning to the ground.

“This is the church in the Palisades that had a beautiful Sunday school and was a gorgeous house of worship and is the building that I got sober in 25 years ago,” Curtis wrote on Facebook.

Curtis went on to say she had “many, many, many” friends who have lost their homes in the devastation of the fires.

“It’s a really awful situation,” she added.

Five people have been confirmed dead, although that number was expected to rise amid reports that 1000 structures had burnt to the ground in the Pacific Palisades fire and another 1000 had been destroyed in the Eaton fire.

AccuWeather put the initial bill at $US57bn ($A91bn), making the disaster one of the costliest in American history, even before the fires had been contained and the damage assessed.

The Academy Award-winning actress, who lives in Los Angeles with her husband Christopher Guest, took to Instagram earlier to share with her followers that her home was “possibly” on fire.

“My community and possibly my home is on fire,” the actress wrote in the post. “My family is safe. Many of my friends will lose their homes. Many other communities as well.”

“Take care of each other,” she told her followers. “Stay out of the way and let the firefighters do their work. Pray if you believe in it and even if you don’t, pray for those who do.”

Multi Emmy award winning actor James Woods broke down as he spoke about the devastation of his home and neighbourhood.

Wiping tears from his eyes, the Vampires star told CNN, “I thought I would be stronger than this.”

“One day you’re swimming in the pool and the next day it’s all gone,” he said.

“There was so much chaos, it was like an inferno. Every house was on fire around us.”

Whitney Cummings was in tears evacuating her LA home impacted by the Southern California wildfires.

The comedian, 42, shared an emotional TikTok on Tuesday from inside her at-home podcast studio as she prepared to flee her house in Topanga.

“I am evacuating my home. It’s so hard to leave the podcast studio behind,” Cummings said through tears. “I know that sounds insane. I have everything, like my son’s birth certificate. But just to leave … all this.”

The 2 Broke Girls creator panned the camera to show her podcast studio before sharing with fans her view from the window: billowing smoke clouds in the near distance.

“I don’t know if you can see. It’s pretty close,” Cummings said as she continued crying.

“I don’t know what I’m gonna lose, but it’s weirdly like, you really find out what matters to you when you have to evacuate,” she said. “I’m not taking the cameras. I’m just taking little trinkets and stuff that you guys gave me at shows.”

The video ended with Cummings holding her face to fight back tears.

“LA fire update,” she titled her post with a broken heart emoji.
