“Super hot”, “hottie” and “handsome” – a photo of a young President-elect Joe Biden has gone viral.
The image, being circulated on Instagram including by Beyonce, features Biden as a 26-year-old student at the University of Delaware, with a beaming smile, wearing a burgundy shirt and holding a brown paper bottle-o bag.
“Joe Biden could text me at 12.33pm and I would text him back at 12.32pm,” one fan wrote under a post of the photo on Vogue’s Instagram account, where others called him “zaddy” and a “snack”.
“A young Joe Biden lookin’ like he’d steal your girl from you with ease,” another user said. The image also caught the eye of Beyonce, who reposted it to her 155 million followers.
An image of Vice President-elect Harris from her Howard University days is also doing the rounds since her election win, which means she is the first woman – and the first person of colour – to hold the role of VP.
“Happy first day of school, Bison! As this new school year starts, be sure to aim high and make the climb — you never know what you can achieve until you try,” she originally posted on Facebook in 2019.
“At Howard University, you can come as you are and leave as the person you aspire to be. “Your Bison family will be with you every step.”
‘I AM HUMBLED’
The moment finally came. Joe Biden took to the podium in Wilmington, Delaware, speaking not as the Democratic presidential nominee waiting patiently for an election result.
This time, Biden was making his first appearance as the 46th President-elect of the United States, having defeated Donald Trump in a historic victory.
Sporting a baby blue tie and black suit, Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris delivered stirring addresses at the Chase Center, marking their first official speeches after winning the election.
“I am humbled by the trust and confidence you have placed in me,” Biden told the crowd.
I pledge to be a President who seeks not to divide, but to unify. Who doesn’t see Red and Blue states, but a United States.”
The day after his election win was called, Biden attended Sunday mass at St Joseph on the Brandywine Roman Catholic Church in Wilmington.
He also attended a nearby cemetery, where it is understood his late son, Beau Biden – who died in 2015 – is buried, as is Biden’s first wife, Neilia, and daughter Naomi, who both passed away tragically in a car crash in 1972
