A COUPLE in the United States have taken parenting to an all new low.
Florida couple Joey, 34, and Chad Mudd, 36, are facing child abuse charges after they allegedly smoked marijuana with their 13 and 15 year old daughters as an incentive to get them to go to school and do chores around the house.
According to an arrest report seen by NBC affiliate Wfla 8, the Mudds are now facing child abuse charges, while Chad Mudd is also accused of snorting cocaine with the girls and one of their boyfriends.
“According to Joey, it was an incentive to the children, If the children were going to school, doing household chores and such, that was the incentive to smoking marijuana with her,” said Pinellas Sheriff’s Office Spokeswoman Cristen Smith.
It’s not known what sort of chores the children had to do in order to get the drugs. It’s alleged Chad Mudd also used cocaine with the children in his truck.
Their mother faces two counts of child abuse. She was arrested on Monday but has since been released. Chad Mudd faces seven counts of child abuse, one count of cocaine possession and remains behind bars.
The children are reportedly in the care of a relative.
