Elderly man charged with murder
An elderly woman was found dead in her Hadfield home by a family member yesterday, with a family member making the grisly discovery. Now an 87-year-old man has been charged with murder.

A man has been charged with murder after an elderly woman was found dead in her Hadfield home on Thursday night.
A 76-year-old woman was found by a family member in her Win-Malee St house about 10pm on Thursday.
An 83-year-old Hadfield man has been charged over the death.
One neighbour said an elderly couple had been seen moving into the address during the week.
“They just moved in two, three days ago,” he said.
“I think an elderly couple moved in there, was living there.”
Another neighbour, who did not want to be identified, said she saw a number of police at the home about midnight on Thursday night.
On Friday homicide squad detectives were waiting for results of a post-mortem.

The two-story home is part of a new development with a number of houses currently under construction.
