A QGAir rescue helicopter was tasked after a hiker suffered a suspected medical emergency at the top of a remote North Queensland waterfall.
Queensland Ambulance Service confirmed the helicopter arrived at Jourama Falls, south of Ingham, after a reports a 56-year-old man suffering a medical episode at 3.16pm.
QAS and Queensland Fire Service crews arrived on site and critical care paramedics were winched in.
QAS said the man suffered shortness of breath and was in a stable condition when he was flown to Townsville University Hospital.
The Jourama Falls, located in the Paluma Range National Park north of Townsville, is a popular tourist attraction, hike, swimming hole and camping area just off the Bruce Highway.
