Kate Jeboult opens up about why she’s put a stop to buying new outfits

A popular brekkie radio host is freeing herself of a fashion burden for all her future events after becoming exhausted with organising outfits.

A Triple M radio host’s love for MCing events and stress for having to decide what to wear came to a stand off a couple of weeks ago and now one of them has had to give.

Breakfast presenter Kate Jeboult’s announced on LinkedIn this month that she would be removing the added stress of having to buy a new outfit every time she had to host an event, and instead would wear the same dress for the rest of the year.

“I think as females we sort of feel the need to wear something different all the time and since I started at Triple M I have been asked to do more MCing and more speaking and it kind of became a bit more exhausting,” she said.

“I just wanted to take that stigma away and let people know that it’s okay to wear the same thing over and over again and for me I wanted to make sure I was focusing on the job at hand.”

The inspiration for the fashion move came from Bridgerton actor Claudia Jessie’s sustainable call to wear the same striped suit during promotional events for season three.

The Cliffo and Kate host said that she had received a very positive response to the announcement.

“I’ve had friends contact me and go ‘oh my gosh that’s a fantastic idea’ because they do feel a lot of pressure or a lot of exhaustion with having to come up with new outfits every time there is an event,” Jeboult said.

“It also means I can focus on the job at hand, getting the MCing done, making sure that the night goes smoothly, making sure I’m fulfilling my obligations as an MC or as a speaker and taking the focus off what I’m wearing.”
