A 21-year-old man was taken to hospital after his car clipped a truck and rolled into a drain at Home Hill this afternoon.

A MAN has been taken to hospital after his car clipped a truck and rolled into a drain at Home Hill this afternoon.

Paramedics were called to Kirknie Rd about 1.03pm to reports two cars and a truck collided 5km along the road.

Witnesses at the scene said the truck and a ute were both travelling west when the ute attempted to over take the truck, and clipped it, rolling into a drain near a cane train line.

The car landed on its roof, and the driver was able to get out of the vehicle safely.

There was no visible damage to the truck.

The 21-year-old driver was taken to Ayr Hospital in a stable condition.
