Police are appealing for information after finding a cannabis crop of 49 mature trees on Magnetic Island.
The discovery occurred on May 23, in a remote western corner of Magnetic Island National Park.
The plants were surrounded by an makeshift electric fence connected to a car battery according to police - presumedly to keep hungry wildlife out.
It’s estimated the crop has a value of $122,000.
This isn’t the first time police have found cannabis crops in Maggie’s national park.
