SIX people have been charged on a total of 12 drug related offences after a major police bust on Magnetic Island.
On Tuesday, officers from Townsville’s Major and Organised Crime Group executed a number of search warrants on the island.
A 36-year-old Nelly Bay man was charged with allegedly possessing cannabis, a pipe and failing to properly dispose of needle.
He is expected to appear in the Townsville Magistrates Court on October 3.
A 47-year-old Nelly Bay woman has been charged with the alleged possession of cannabis and pipe, and possession of scales and scissors allegedly used in commission of crime.
She has been dealt with under the provisions of the Drugs Misuse Act.
A 24-year-old Nelly Bay woman has been charged with allegedly supplying cannabis.
She is expected to appear in the Townsville Magistrates Court in October.
A 21-year-old Picnic Bay man has been charged with possession of cannabis and pipe.
He is expected to appear in the Townsville Magistrates Court on October 10.
A 54-year-old Arcadia man has been charged with allegedly possessing a pipe and is expected to appear in the Townsville Magistrates Court in October.
A 41-year-old Picnic Bay man has been charged with supply dangerous drug and possess thing for use or use in the administration, consumption, smoking of a dangerous drug and is expected to appear in the Townsville Magistrates Court in October.
