Organised by the Yothu Yindi foundation, chief executive Denise Bowden is expecting tickets for the event to sell quickly.

“Garma has been a sell-out event for the past decade, and we’re anticipating increased demand for tickets this year as we prepare for the Festival’s 25th birthday,” she said.

“The event is a wonderful celebration of Yolngu life and culture. Garma is a place where the freshwater and saltwater meet, where ancient traditions blend with cutting-edge contemporary innovation and artistic expression. It’s a melting pot of ideas and bold thinking.”
