A Tasmanian sushi master is the star of a hilarious new underwear commercial hitting TVs and computer screens all over Australia.
Geeveston’s renowned sushi chef Masaaki Koyama is one of the experts featured in the innuendo-laden advertising campaign for Bonds Total Package underwear.
In the video he describes the importance of keeping nori and rice balls separate when making a three-piece bento box.
Mr Koyama said several of his customers have come across his ad while scrolling through the internet.
“One of my customers and friends told me early one morning ‘oh Masaaki you are on YouTube’.” Many of the family and friends are commenting,” he said.
“I never thought I would be doing underwear advertising, but I thought it could be a very fun experience.”
Another one of the five experts featured is wine connoisseur David Hohnen who talks about the importance of having a secure rack for your pinots.
“My pinot is an excellent vintage, and it only gets better with age,” he declares.
“Down here my pinot stays fruity and full-bodied and it never gets musty. That’s the secret to a good pinot.”
Another cameo is from expert fisherman Rob Paxevanos, who describes the importance of having a secure tackle box to go with your rod.
“I’ve got a big one,” he exclaims while reeling in a big catch.
