Swimming superstar Ariarne Titmus made a splash in her hometown of Launceston on Wednesday, visiting all of the city’s highlights after touching down on Tuesday night.
During her trip, the four-time Olympic gold medallist was sure to check out the infamous City Park Macaque monkey enclosure and hitch a ride on the Cataract Gorge chairlift.
Titmus shared her journey on social media ahead of two public appearances in Launceston this weekend.
Lucky fans will have the opportunity to meet the homegrown Olympic golden girl at Harvey Norman Launceston on October 12.
Titmus is also set to visit major sports apparel and equipment retailer Rebel Sport just weeks after it opened its doors in Launceston.
To celebrate the store’s opening, a select few will win an exclusive meet and greet with the swimmer on October 13.
Titmus’ sojourn to Tassie follows her announcement that she will be stepping away from the sport for up to a year to recharge.
She previously revealed she would take a well-earned break from the sport for a prolonged period and is unsure when she would return.
“I’m going to have a really big break. I need a mental break away from the sport and just do some things outside of swimming and learn more about myself and figure out my passions outside of swimming,” Titmus said.
