A body has been found following a massive search after a car plunged into the Brisbane River in the city’s southwest overnight.

Emergency services rushed to the Brisbane River near Moggill Road Ferry around 6.45pm on Monday after reports a blue sedan had gone into the river.

At least five Queensland Fire Department crews were on scene assisting police.
