St Mary’s acting president Adrian Moscheni said those involved were being offered support.
“It’s an unfortunate incident and is being investigated,” Mr Moscheni said.
“Our club has reached out to our people who were affected and are offering any support while we can, while it all happens.”
Wanderers president Jerome Cubillo said he was still trying to work out what had happened in the incident but would take a hard line stance against violent behaviour.
“We’re just working with AFLNT to look at any footage available to understand what has occurred and work through with all parties involved,” he said.
“Obviously we don’t condone this type of behaviour if it has occurred in the sport at all, whether it’s from players, parents or people in a club official capacity.

“We’ll be looking to work with AFLNT once we have all info at hand to take a hard line stance on this type of behaviour so that our club members know it’s not going to be accepted and the wider community know that as a football club, we don’t accept or condone this type of behaviour.”
