A second suspect has been arrested following investigations into a violent incident at Gulfview Heights in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

A second suspect has been arrested following investigations into a violent incident at Gulfview Heights in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Investigations by Operation Meld and Northern District CIB detectives resulted in the arrest of a 20-year-old Rosewater man. He was charged on Thursday with aggravated serious criminal trespass and cause serious harm.

He was refused police bail and will appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court on, Friday, October 11.

Emergency services were called to Nelson Rd after being alerted to the incident at around 3.45am.

It is understood the group of offenders forced entry into the home and injured two occupants – after which they escaped arrest by jumping into a vehicle and turning onto Yulinda Terrace.

A 53-year-old woman and a 17-year-old boy were both taken to hospital with non-life threatening stab wounds. A third person was also taken to hospital with minor injuries after being assaulted.

On Wednesday a 16-year-old Pennington boy was arrested and charged with causing serious harm and aggravated serious criminal trespass

He was refused police bail and will appear in the Adelaide Youth Court on Thursday.

Police said it was early in the investigation but they did not believe it to be a random incident.

CCTV footage shows a car pulling up on Yulinda Terrace with five people inside.

Four of them exit the vehicle and run to the back gate, then jump into the yard and run up the stairs to the darkened house.

Meanwhile, Operation Meld is continuing to investigate a break-in at Broadview in July, with police announcing Two teenagers have now been arrested.

Police were called to a home in Beaven Ave, Broadview after four males wearing balaclavas forced their way inside the address about 11.30pm on Tuesday 23 July.

The suspects were armed with a firearm and machetes and threatened the four occupants.

Following investigations by Operation Meld detectives, a 15-year-old boy from Kilburn was arrested on 30 August and charged with aggravated serious criminal trespass. He was refused police bail and appeared in the youth court.

Yesterday, Wednesday 9 October, a second suspect, a 17-year-old boy from Adelaide, was arrested. He was charged with aggravated serious criminal trespass and firearms offences and appeared in the Adelaide Youth Court today.

Investigations are continuing to identify and locate the two outstanding suspects.

Lightsview housemates terrorised by armed trio of home invaders

Police have released images of three suspects following an investigation into an incident at Lightsview on Sunday where two men were held hostage by three masked home invaders brandishing a sword, metal pipe and a baseball bat before being robbed.

About 5am on Sunday 6 October, three armed men entered a home on Folland Ave and threatened two of the occupants at the rented property. The men stole personal property and left.

The two victims have told 7News of the details of the terrifying invasion of their home.

One man named Inda said he was sitting watching TV when the three masked invades broke in.

“Another guy came with a sword, and then I was like, this is it”.

The trio demanded money and then marched Inda and his roommate upstairs before searching the apartment for valuables.

Eastern District Detectives have released CCTV images of the suspects in a bid to identify them.

Police are asking anyone with information on the incident or knows the identity of the men in the images is asked to contact Crime Stoppers.
