Model, mum and former teacher Jess Dover has opened up on meeting her actor boyfriend Daniel MacPherson – revealing they “spoke all night” when they first met.

Model mum Jess Dover has opened up on first meeting her Neighbours star boyfriend, Daniel MacPherson, at a VIP lunch to kick off ADL Fashion Week.
The sold-out event, at one of the CBD’s hottest restaurants Fugazzi Bar & Dining Room, was in celebration of Viktoria & Woods’ 20th anniversary.
While the label founded by Margie Woods is based in Melbourne, it has a strong following in Adelaide.
A flagship store in Rundle St is the best performing Viktoria & Woods boutique in the country.
Former primary school teacher Dover, who is also a social media influencer and podcast host, talked exclusively to The Advertiser in the lead up.
She spoke about her love of fashion, the juggle of being a working parent to Sebastian – her four-year-old son with ex-partner former Crow Jared Petrenko – and her relationship with actor Daniel MacPherson.
Known for his roles in Neighbours, City Homicide and The Bill, he is also a parent to Austin, also 4, his son with ex-wife actor Zoe Ventoura.
Dover and MacPherson met through friends two years ago and felt an “instant attraction”.
She said they “spoke all night” when they were introduced and that their relationship had been “easy”.
“He’s just so kind,” she said. “Both having children (we were) looking for something that makes you feel really calm.”
Asked if marriage was on the cards, Dover said that while they were a couple living in different states – she is in Adelaide and he is in Sydney – they “see a future together”.
She said parenting her “little bestie” was her No. 1 priority, but that she had a super-busy work schedule.
“Everything I do is to provide for our family,” she said, adding: “(It’s) a dance between mum guilt and providing for us”.
Dover, who has been a fan of Viktoria & Woods for some years now, said she loved the brand’s chic aesthetic.
“It’s effortless and classic,” she said.
