Four men believed to be responsible for the Gulfview Heights break-in and shooting have been arrested by a police special task force.

The arrest comes after emergency services were alerted to a serious incident on Thursday about 4.45pm in a Brabham Crescent home where a group of people entered a home and shot a person in the leg.

One of the occupants received non life-threatening injury as a result of the shooting.

The Advertiser understands the victim has since been discharged from the Royal Adelaide Hospital after surgery and is now at home.

Meanwhile, the offenders fled the scene and managed to get away prior to police arrival.

Following investigations, Northern District CIB and STAR group officers were able to track the suspects and arrest three men at Hendon on Friday night.

A search of the property also resulted in the location and seizure of a firearm.

The three men aged 19, 22 and 24, of no fixed address, were all charged with aggravated serious criminal trespass, aggravated cause harm and firearms offences.

They were refused police bail and will appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court on Monday.

A fourth offender was arrested shortly after by police at Noarlunga Downs.

The 32-year-old man, of no fixed address, was also refused bail.

He will also appear in court on Monday.
