Barmera: SA Police arrest scissor-wielding man over alleged Riverland assault

Two men were hurt as police were called to the service station in the Riverland just before midnight on Saturday.

A man wielding a pair of scissors has been arrested after assaulting two people in Barmera.

Emergency services were called to a service station car park in Tonkin Avenue just before midnight on Saturday following reports of the incident.

The two male victims sustained minor wounds and were taken to hospital for treatment.

A 35-year-old Barmera man was arrested shortly after and charged with two counts of aggravated assault causing serious harm.

He was refused bail and wis expected to appear in the Berri Magistrates Court on Monday.
