State parliament blog: David Crisafulli’s dig at Steven Miles over ‘grubby’ concession speech
Premier David Crisafulli has gone on the attack in Parliament this morning after being questioned over alleged Health cuts, targeting Steven Miles’s ‘tone’.
It has been a fiery start to the final sitting week of parliament for the year with both government and Opposition MPs vocal on youth crime, health cuts and abortion.
In a surprise act, Premier David Crisafulli said no moves to change Queensland’s abortion laws would be allowed in parliament.

Women’s Minister Fiona Simpson said it was just a matter of the Government keeping its promise that there would be no change on the contentious issue. But Katter’s Australian Party Leader Robbie Katter said the move was unprecedented. “We should have the right to bring something in here.”
Earlier, Mr Crisafulli had been questioned over changes to operating hours at nurse-led clinics in Brisbane.
He did not specifically respond, but said “every dollar in the budget would be spent and attacked former premier Steven Miles over his lack of humility.
“The same tone that was set by the now Leader of the Opposition on election night, when he delivered the most grubby concession speech ever, is being reflected today.”
