Six-vehicle crash causes major Bruce Highway delays

Motorists experienced lengthy delays on the M1 north of Brisbane this morning after a six-vehicle crash.

UPDATE 8.45AM: TWO patients were taken to hospital after a reported six-vehicle crash northbound on the Bruce Highway, Beerburrum.

Traffic has reportedly slowed in both directions.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman reported two people were taken to the Caboolture Hospital, but could not comment on their injuries.

The crash happened at 7.19am.

Queensland Traffic has warned motorists to expect delays and proceed with caution.

INITIAL REPORT: MOTORISTS are warned of lengthy delays due to a reported six-vehicle crash northbound on the Bruce Highway, Beerburrum.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said all patients were able to remove themselves from the vehicles, and paramedics are assessing two people on scene.

Queensland Traffic reports both lanes are reduced in both directions, with lengthy delays expected.
