The residential property market in South West Queensland has witnessed a major surge in value, with a number of rural homes sold for millions.
Property data has shown a 12-month growth in the Darling Downs and Maranoa region, seeing an 11.56 per cent increase year-on-year for all dwellings.
For both Warwick and Stanthorpe residents it could mean around a $200,000 increase to their homes current value.
REIQ data shows the median house price in Warwick as of October sits at $452,500, while Stanthorpe’s sits at $485,000.
Further south in the Goondiwindi region homes are selling for around $450,000, a 13.2 per cent increase from November 2023.
In the Maranoa region residential properties in Roma are selling for an average of $345,000, a more than 16 per cent increase in the past 12 months.
For Dalby homeowners the average price sits at $379,000, an increase of more than 11 per cent.
