IN ACTION: Siena's David Bagshaw against Sunshine Coast Grammar during the First XV grand final.

THE Sunshine Coast Secondary School Rugby Union grand finals were contested on Wednesday night, and livestreamed to the Courier-Mail's sister paper the Sunshine Coast Daily  for the first time.

There was some great action at Sunshine Coast Stadium, where eight games were contested.

The Daily live streamed the four feature matches on the main field, in collaboration with USQ's TV and Radio Broadcast team.

The under-15 match involving Matthew Flinders and Sunshine Coast Grammar was a high-quality and entertaining contest.

The under-18 division 2 decider was a tense battle between St Teresa's and St John's, which proved to be a thriller.

The 2nd XV included long-time rivals Siena and Sunshine Coast Grammar.

Of course, the ultimate clash was the First XV encounter between Grammar and Siena. The former went into the contest with an unblemished record during the regular season while the latter was intent on causing a boil-over.
